What can we expect from the new replacement of Nikon D90?
On an interview with Mr. Nobuaki Sasagaki (General Manager, Marketing Department of Nikon Japan) by Focus Numerique (translated version here), there will be new improvements on the near future that a simple firmware update will not be possible.
Here are some “rumored” specs about the replacement for the D90?
- 16 Megapixel DX Sensor
- Full HD (1080p)
- New Video AF capability
- 20 min video recording (upgrade from D90’s 5min)
- 39 AF points
- Dual SD card slots
- Improved ISO similar to D700 (100 – 25600)
- 6 fps Continuous Shooting
- Magnesium-alloy body
- Weather proof like D300s
- Price: $1,199 (body only) or around Php 54,000

Rumored release date is on September 15 and the name could be Nikon D7000.

I love this camera. Very easy to use. However, I did wish it would come with a memory card. Takes beautiful pictures.
