Child Exploitation and Online Protection or CEOP is UK’s national police centre for protecting young people from exploitation and abuse online and in real life.
How can CEOP App help children using Facebook?
Jim Gamble, chief executive of CEOP said, “By adding this application, Facebook users will have direct access to all the services that sit behind our ClickCeop button which should provide reassurance to every parent with teenagers on the site.”
The development of this app occurred after Facebook was link to the tragic rape and murder of 17-year-old Ashleigh Hall by 33-year-old Peter Chapman posing as a teenage boy last year 2009.
